6 Ideal Gifts for Homeschool Moms

This post: The BEST gifts for homeschool moms… per their request!

I asked readers over in our Facebook community, “What are ideal gifts for homeschool moms?” I absolutely loved the ideas!

Chocolate and coffee were popular mentions.

There were quite a few ideas I wouldn’t have thought of, so I thought I’d share. Next time you need a Christmas, birthday, Mother’s Day, or “just because” gift idea for a homeschooling mom, check out this list.

Top Gifts for Homeschool Moms

The homeschool moms have spoken!

A Homeschool Mom Tee or Sweatshirt

A mom named Jennifer suggested this gift idea, and it’s a classic.

Below are a few really fun tee shirts (and sweatshirts) that would make great gifts for homeschool moms.

These are all really affordable, and you’ll be supporting small business owners, too!

Gift Cards

This gift idea got a lot of mentions.

The most popular gift card suggestions were Amazon and Starbucks, but book stores came in as a close runner up.

Other frequent gift card mentions: restaurants (for date nights), pedis and a massage.

(Here’s a fun way to give a gift card, if you need some creative ideas.)

Alone Time

This idea was mentioned in various forms…

  • Babysitting
  • Weekend away with my husband
  • A nap
  • Afternoon or evening alone to shop/rest/clean the house

Homeschooling can be very overstimulating, especially for moms with lots of kids or moms who are introverts (that would definitely be me).

Alone time really does feel like a gift.

A Planner

I’m a loyal planner-user, so I’m going to share my favorite one with you as a gift suggestion:

The Simplified Planner, by Emily Ley.

I’ve used this planner for years + absolutely love it. (Read my review here.)

As a homeschool mom, I typically use the weekly edition of The Simplified Planner, but there are teacher editions + daily editions, as well.

There’s even a homeschool planner! (I recommend this edition for moms with younger kids.)

Housecleaning

I have to mention this one because nearly every homeschooling mom suggested it!

Keeping up with the busyness of life at home is a daily struggle for all moms, especially moms who stay home with their kids most days.

Whether it’s paid help to come in a deep clean occasionally, or a husband or mom lending a hand to declutter the house at the end of a busy day, help with housework is every homeschooling mom’s dream-come-true.

Books and Bookshelves

It’s true… we homeschoolers want more books and then we need more shelves so we can store them!

I definitely understand this obsession because, well, I have it too.

Jeremy had a set of custom shelves built for our home a few years ago, and I am in love with them! (Well, I’m in love with Jeremy… but I’m pretty crazy about the bookshelves too.)

I love my bookshelves so much!

Husbands, just a tip: if your wife is a homeschooling mom, this will make her so happy!

Your turn.

Homeschooling moms, what would be your ideal gift?
