6 Christmas Gift Ideas for Homeschooling Moms

Last week, I asked readers over on our blog Facebook page, What would be an ideal gift for a homeschool mom?

I absolutely loved the ideas you amazing ladies in our blog community shared!

Chocolate and coffee were popular mentions.

There were quite a few ideas I wouldn’t have thought of too, so I thought I’d share these with you today.

If there’s a special homeschooling mom on your Christmas gift list, check out this list.

The homeschool moms have spoken!

A Homeschooling Tee Shirt

I love this idea from Jennifer!

I have a homeschooling tee shirt, and I grab it on those especially crazy days when I really need to own my role. 🙂

I found this cute homeschool mom tee shirt on Etsy:

And I love these statement tees and hoodies from Cents of Style.

These would be perfect for a homeschooling mom.

Gift Cards

This gift idea got a lot of mentions.

The most popular gift card suggestions were Amazon and Starbucks, but book stores came in as a close runner up.

Other frequent gift card mentions: restaurants (for date nights), pedis and a massage.

(Here’s a fun way to give a gift card, if you need some creative ideas!)

Alone Time

This idea was mentioned in various forms…

  • Babysitting
  • Weekend away with my husband
  • A nap
  • Afternoon or evening alone to shop/rest/clean my house.

Homeschooling can be very overstimulating, especially for moms with lots of kids or moms who are introverts (that would definitely be me).

Alone time really does feel like a gift!

A Planner

I’m a loyal planner-user, so I’m going to share my favorite one with you as a gift suggestion:

The Encouragement Planner, by Dara Lorraine Stationery.

I’ve used this planner for two years now, and I absolutely love it.

It’s the only planner that has ever worked for me as busy pastor’s wife, homeschooler and work-at-home mom.

You can find more details or pre-order The Encouragement Planner here.

Housecleaning

I have to mention this one because nearly every homeschooling mom suggested it!

Help with housework is every homeschooling mom’s dream-come-true.

Whether it’s paid help to come in a deep clean occasionally, or a husband or mom lending a hand to declutter the house at the end of a busy day.

Keeping up with the busyness of life at home is a daily struggle for all moms, especially moms who stay home with their kids most days.

Books and Bookshelves

It’s true… we homeschoolers want more books and then we need more shelves so we can store them!

I definitely understand this obsession because, well, I have it too.

Jeremy had a set of custom shelves built for our home earlier this year, and I am in love with them! (Well, I’m in love with Jeremy… but I’m pretty crazy about the bookshelves too.)

Husbands, just a tip: if your wife is a homeschooling mom, this will make her so happy!

P.S. Homeschool moms, I’d love for you to join me over in our private group on Facebook, just for home educators!

You can request to join here.

Homeschoolers, what would you add to this list?
