Not a tee shirt girl?
I’m really not either. As much as I love the ease & comfort of pulling on a cute tee (especially during summer), tee shirts aren’t generally flattering on my body type.
I shied away from tees for years, but for some reason decided to give linen tee shirts from JCrew a try a few summers ago. I was immediately hooked!
These tees are incredibly soft & lightweight, which is a huge plus when you live in a hot climate!
But most importantly (for my vanity metrics anyway), they drape well & aren’t clingy. I feel confident, comfortable, & put together even on casual days in these tees!
They come in a lots of colors, & I especially like the pop of pink (shown in my reel) & the navy-&-white-stripe. I add one or two new linen tees to my seasonal capsule every year, & pair them with jeans or shorts & leather sandals for a relaxed summer look.

Tips for Wearing & Washing a Linen Tee
Linen can feel a bit tricky if you haven’t worn it much, so here are two quick tips:
- Wash your linen tee shirts on a delicate cycle & hang them up to air dry. If you throw them in the dryer, they’ll shrink.
- Linen is notoriously wrinkly! To prevent wrinkles, hang your tees up to dry as soon as they’re done washing. (I do not iron my tee shirts!)
