Hi, I’m Kristy!
Dreamer, work-from-home mom, scribbler-turned-copywriter, but . . .
Once Upon a Time
Throw back to 2008: I was a young pastor’s wife & mom; homeschooling the little people, & budgeting the little income down to the last, shiny penny. (Or dingy dollar. But let’s go with shiny penny.)
I decided early on that clipping coupons & using cloth diapers wasn’t going to change our financial future–& that’s when I decided to be a Mompreneur when I grew up. (Well, it wasn’t quite as easy as I thought.)
Long story short, I hustled & burned out–several times over!
I’m equal parts creative & stubborn (well, maybe a little more stubborn), & eventually I learned what might have been obvious all along:
- I’m a creative mentor at heart–not a boss babe
- I don’t have to hustle, just because everyone else is
- Simple success is still success
- Everything is figure-out-able
- There’s a lot to be said about building dreams gently
And Then She Lived Happily Ever After . . .
Just kidding.
In 2018, I hit a pretty low point. I was 100% exhausted, overwhelmed, & drowning in anxiety. The crazy thing: I was making six figures with a direct sales company . . . but didn’t have time to eat, sleep, or enjoy my family.
The decision to cut back, & eventually walk away from that job wasn’t hard. What has been hard is making the decision to branch out on my own & confidently do what I love–write.
These days, I’m still homeschooling our four youngest kids, teaching at our hybrid homeschool community, & building my dream business as a homeschool copywriter.
No Fairy Godmother (or magic wand)
If you’re looking for a boss babe, that’s not me. If you want an overnight success, sorry–I’m not. (I mean, that would’ve been nice . . . )
What I am: a fairly smart & very stubborn determined working stay-at-home mom, who LOVES the life she’s creating. (Most days, anyway.)
And because of my struggles with burnout & anxiety (& tiny budgets), I’m passionate about helping other women confidently build their dream work-from-home lives, too–simply, gently, & affordably.
Want to follow my journey–or better yet, join me?
Thank you for being here . . .
I can’t wait to see you on the inside!
